“Now I’ve become this core of rotted will“

E-mails that start off with “Hey, would you be up for doing a poster for the Deftones gig in Luxembourg?” sadly happen way too rarely. For their european tour in 2017, Deftones asked artists from several cities they were playing in to design a custom screenprinted poster for the event. The posters were then sold at the event. I knew from the beginning of the project that I wanted to use the Flamingo as the subject of the poster, and the lyrics and title of the song Doomed User inspired me to do this hopeless scene, showing a flamingo’s leg stuck in a black, tar-like substance.

The screenprinting duties were handled by Geraldine from Atelier Bikini.
